The Blind Leading the Blind
Yeah, yeah yeah… dad is my hero and all that jazz. He can definitely take on any other dad on the court, gives horsey rides with the best of them, and is flat out fun. But today, we were both rookies. Mom said it’s probably one of the few (if not only) times that we’ll both do something (especially somewhat athletic) for the first time together. Yup, we both got on ice skates for the first time today. While dad did slightly better than I did at standing upright, it was very much like the blind leading the blind. Mom was doubled over laughing because she’s not used to seeing dad in a situation where he’s not on fire. But he held his own. And my own. He held me up during multiple attempts at falling, but all good things come to an end, right?
Cooper and mama were great observers, cheerleaders and comforters (to both dad and I) after our big spill that ended our adventure. Oh well… it was fun while it lasted. And we’ll do it again soon. And will definitely rule that arena.
