February 2008

Let’s see… what can i tell you about me right now except that I LOVE BATHS and being naked (which is quite obvious from these pictures)!

Hmmm… Quinn and I fight a lot but we hug a lot too. I’ve been getting more time outs than Quinn lately (shocking!) because I’m really starting to figure out that I like to get my way – all the time. But I’m still so darn sweet… I’m really learning how to charm ‘em. I’m talking a ton (as is Quinn) and working every week with a speech therapist (which is basically a person who comes to our house and plays for an hour! We love her.). We go to music class every Friday and we rock out. Quinn LOVES the drums and I love the shakers. I’m not very good with my punctuation yet, so please forgive me. I’m really demonstrating a good memory and I love to pass time doing floor puzzles. Oh – and my all time favorite thing to do is to call out letters, then their sound (the best one is “M for mommy, MMMMmmmmm”).

Oh – and potty training is going pretty well. Quinn has nailed it and is a little ahead of me in this area – guess he doesn’t like the feel of fresh poop all over his bum. I don’t mind as much, but am doing a great job on the potty! At least that’s what my parents tell me.

Till next time…

Happy Valentine's Day

so… this is how we roll in the coolest park in the whole wide world – Alta Plaza in San Francisco. Sitting atop a hill with views of San Francisco, we go down slides, play in sand, climb ropes and take turns rolling in pimped out cars like this one.

This is how we roll

So, mom got this crazy idea from some of her looney bird friends that in order to potty train us, we have to run around the house naked like nudists for an entire weekend until we get the hang of it that “poopie and pee pee belong in the potty.” Yeah yeah yeah… we get it. And if you throw us a teddy graham every time we do it, we’ll even get the pee IN the potty about 70% of the time. But I have to say that our parents picked the WORST weekend ever to do this. I mean… the weather was like 65 degrees… everyone and their mother (literally) was out to play in the coolest parks on the planet, and we were stuck inside having to hear mom and dad ask every 5 minutes if we had to “make poopie or pee pee.” They did give us a break on Sunday to enjoy the sunshine, but as you’ll see below, they didn’t let their guard down one minute.

Potty Boys So much for privacy

Like rockstars, we nailed it with only a couple accidents. Though we’re far from done with this learning curve, we’re well on our way… and mom and dad will be SOOOOOOO happy not to have to pay for all the diapers we use (they’ve estimated to have paid for 11,300 so far) but we’re far from done with this whole learning curve.

Potty pooper,
Cooper

P.S. I still can’t BELIEVE mom made me take a whiz in the park in front of all the little hotties?

Yup – that’s me. Hot.

Reflections of firemen

I’m not sure who’s cooler: firemen or our daddy for arranging for us to see them. Daddy called our nearby firehouse in San Francisco and asked if we could swing by… and they said to come anytime. Not only did we get cold kick it with the firemen and firetrucks (we sat IN them!), but we also tried on their hats and watched them practice going up and down the ladders. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay cool.

Yeah, we’re official wannabes. And proud of it.
