December 2007

But BRING ON 2008! We’re busy boys and have a lot to accomplish in the coming year, so let’s get started!

In our extensive experience, we feel it’s always best to say goodbye and close out a year with some highlights… so here goes:

–We stayed healthy enough to stay out of the hospital! (YIPPEE US!)
–We learned to share – and we’re pretty good at it (though we don’t always like it).
–We know our alphabet (capital letters) and the sounds of each letter. Reading in 08!
–We went on four fabulous trips – one immediate family trip to Hawaii, one extended family trip in South Carolina and to see mommy’s home-slices for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
–We both developed a fascination with hats – (and quinn loves mom’s shoes and bags and cooper loves cars and puzzles)
–We learned that chick peas are NOT a treat (we’ll get you back, mom!)
–Cooper took a trip down 12 wooden stairs (not walking!) and handled it like a champ!
–We went potty on the toilet – poop and pee (though not consistently). I smell another resolution for 08!
–We almost run faster than mommy and daddy – 2008 here we come!
–We learned to hug each other – especially after a fight.
–Cooper survived multiple face infections – one at home and one in South Carolina.
–We started talking – really well!
–We survived many knock-downs due to Bernie’s “trots” down the hall.
–We still sleep like it’s our job (including a 3 hour nap in the day!).
–We feed ourselves like champs (sometimes with little convincing).
–Cooper got the chicken pox – kinda.
–Quinn learned to protect Cooper, our peak in cuteness.
–Cooper learned to hug (and kiss) everything that he loves.
–Quinn mooned park goers.
–Dad survived nine days alone with us while mom was in hong kong and Singapore.

We have many more tales of 2007… read on if you care!

We wish all our fav peeps (that’s you!) a HAPPY NEW YEAR – hope it’s fun!

Santa came!

Since we flew home from Ohio yesterday, mom and dad wrote a letter to Santa asking for a late delivery, but we still weren’t sure if he would honor their request… so as you can imagine, we were quite pleased to wake up to a room of toys this morning!

As you will see, we had an eventful, fun and entertaining Christmas day. Santa certainly was good to us – as were our friends and family. We must have been VERY good boys! Quinn spent Christmas bossing me around on which instrument I should play in the band while we enjoyed the day with mom, dad, grandma-ma and Sanja. Presents, loads of food and many of my favorite people… now this is what I call a good day!

P.S. Don’t miss my incredible doll crib. I’m gonna get a lot of cute babes with this house!

(please excuse mom’s amateur video editing… this is all new to her.)

what can i say? i’m a budding musician! (mom says i’m not allowed to use that excuse my whole life)

P.S. Thank you, Mia for knowing JUST what we I wanted.

well… we don’t hate him… we actually love him. we just don’t like sitting on his lap. When is mom and dad going to get that throught their thick skulls? we didn’t like it the first time, second time, and now the third time. maybe next year will be our big year to get a pass from sitting on santa’s lap… (don’t hold your breath).

Uncle Dustin and Aunt Kim had a holiday party for mom’s whole family at their phat pad. It was awesome and reminded her of the good ol’ days.

And we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show our extended family a little about what we’re made of.

why must we be tortured in this way?

P.S. mom and dad got their punishment by being nauseous for 30 minutes following this little adventure.

well… we’ve already had our first christmas with uncle dustin and kim. we got in tonight about 10 pm and just couldn’t resist aunt kim’s offer to give us “some” of our presents. So, the big treats of the night were a thomas the train set and some dress up outfits – chef and gladiator costumes (we’ll refrain from telling you how mom freaked out about the sword and told us all week to “keep it low like a golf club!”). Gosh – Aunt Kim and Uncle Dustin really know how to get on a guy’s good side. fast. well done.

Ok… let me explain… On our way to Sacramento today, the boys were watching a LeapFrog video where there was a daddy frog. Cooper got SO excited when the daddy came on the screen that he belted out “Daddy Frog,” but it just has a little more of a foul tone to it.

There. How’s THAT for an excuse?

We took a drive to Sacramento today to celebrate our cousin’s birthday, Grady. Well, I guess he’s our second cousin… since Grady’s mom is dad’s cousin. But whatever – it was a great time. We never get to see them since he lives in England with his mom and dad, so we enjoyed the time…

The cowboy of the day was Grady – look at that mean cowboy look. He’s got it D-O-W-N!

And of course we went in style…

Giddy Up!
Cooper

maybe it’s all the hype and build-up, or maybe we are just untraditional guys, but we aren’t big fans of all the hoopla that goes around holidays. we were kinda ambivalent about the whole christmas tree shopping experience until the saw came out – then i flipped. no way, jose. i think i’d rather not have a tree (though mom and dad made us suffer through it – torture. poor me.).

quinn didn’t like it much either.

fun times!

i’m on my way to the runway!

(mom has already earmarked this one for the wedding slideshow – or whatever type of multimedia we’re using in 40 years.)
