This is all your getting, people. I know a lot of our friends’ moms are sending around fabulous photos of their kids in adorable Halloween costumes, but we simply refuse. The good news is that we got to hang with our girlfriends Pier and Piper (met them in the NICU when we were born) at a party the other day… they are darn cute. And what a bonus that there’s two!
So… while we went along with all the hype of Halloween (including going to Half Moon Bay to pick pumpkins, having treats at the annual NICU Halloween party and trekking to Burlingame for the insanity that is Halloween there), we simply r-e-f-u-s-e-d to put our costumes on. In fact, this picture was the closest we came to actually dressing up. Actually, there was one shot (which mom will post) of Quinn practicing trick or treating at home with his gorilla costume, but that was the one and only time that either of us sported our rediculously expensive costumes (mom reminded us of that often. We, in turn, reminded her that we weren’t the ones to buy them).
Fun times.
Always a gorilla and koala bear in spirit,
Quinn and Cooper
So… we went to a pumpkin farm in Half Moon Bay last weekend for Bernese Mountain Dog day. At first I was dumbfounded by all the “Bernies” there, but then I got obsessed with picking the best pumpkin while Quinn ran all throughout the corn stalks. Surprise surprise.
P.S. We are talking a LOT more. Quinn likes to talk more than I do, but I’m giving him a run for his money.
P.P.S. I’ve also decided that I’m shy now. I think it’s just a phase I’m going through, but if you are not mommy or daddy, don’t even THINK about talking to me!
So, we went out to Treasure Island for the first time this weekend to hang with Jim, Chancey and Tia… we had grand plans of walking the Memory Walk to support The Alzheimer’s Organization, but alas, we decided to freak out. Not in a bad way, but with so many new things to see and do, we just couldn’t contain ourselves to make the trek. And the balloons! There were a gazillion. It was fun to see Jimbo though – he always remembers “the twins,” so that makes us feel special. (Did we mention how many BALLOONS were there?! Holy cow.).
So, since we decided that we weren’t up for walking a couple miles, mom and dad took us to the water and we saw a San Francisco Fire Department boat. If you can’t tell from my expression, I was ECSTATIC. Seriously almost jumped out of my skin. Cooper was pretty stoked too… you just can’t tell in this photo.
So, this is our way of supporting Jimbo and the Alzheimer’s Organization… I’m sure he approves (knowing him, he would have rather been with us watching the boat than walking anyways!).
