So, Cooper woke up from his nap today looking like Dumbo. It’s bright red and three times the size of the other ear. What up with that?!
P.S. Don’t mind the hideous haircut that our parents subjected us to yesterday – or the cheese in my mouth.

What a fun life we have going on right now… seriously – it’s such a blast. Here are a couple highlights on our lives:
* We recently had a developmental specialist evaluation and cognitively we measured at 3 years (over-achievers), but language/speech-wise, 21 months! We are 28 months, for the record. So… it’s no biggie because we are showing huge progress, but we are going to start speech therapy soon. We qualified for state funding since we are so behind (we were actually just doing mom/dad a favor by demonstrating a delay!), so I guess that’s a good thing.
* Mom and Dad went away for a few days to celebrate Auntie Jackie’s marriage to Chris. What a cool cat he is. Mom also stopped off in Ohio to surprise Uncle Dustin for his birthday, so she was gone a couple extra days. We were in great hands the whole time though – Tia/UC and Grammy all pitched in to make sure we were well taken care of. We missed mom and dad, but it’s fun to mix it up every now and then.
* We’ve nearly mastered sharing. Don’t get us wrong, we still don’t *want* to do it, but we’re getting really good at it and understand when mom/dad try to reason with us.
* We graduated from our first music class – well… maybe not graduated, but we finished our first series of sessions! We hated it at first and tolerated it in the end, so that’s some serious progress. Now Quinn loves to play the drums on just about anything that will make a bang.
* We get to watch 30 mins of movie when we get up and 30 mins when we go to sleep – our favorites are Cars (Cooper), CareBears the old-school-1984-version (Quinn). We often kiss the screen when our favorite characters come in view.
* Potty training is no where in site.
* We love saying our letters (Y, P, T and O are our favorites) and numbers (2, 5 and 9 are far and away the best ones!)
* Eating is still pretty strong. We are weighing in about 30 lbs… right on target.
* Sleeping is great – we sleep a lot and very regular with our naps… though we are starting to wake with nightmares (mainly Quinn), but we’ll get past it.
* We love our baths (most of the time) – and are learning new ways to get more water out of the tub than in it. Oh – and gargling is oh-so-cool. (bath water is yummy….)
* Mom refuses to get our hair cut b/c she hates “bowl cuts” but she might be outvoted this weekend.
* Cooper calls Quinn “Innn” and Quinn calls Cooper “PooTu” (note that Cooper calls himself PooPoo).
* We love to hug… it used to be a straight up hug, now it’s a tight grasp that lands with both bodies rolling around on the floor with laughter. We’ll try to figure out how to get a video of it up on this blog (possible, anyone?).
Ok, friends. That’s enough detail for now. Hope to hear from you soon!

I’ll give it to him, I don’t think he’s faking this smile – Quinn truly LOVES the bath, but come on!
Stop the madness,
Cooper
Sick of seeing us in head gear? We aren’t! Before last week, we would NOT leave the house without having a huge discussion about who is wearing what hat… Now things have gotten more complicated. We have been re-introduced to the doo-rag and boy is it ever a decision. And I think I get to make the call for both myself AND Quinn. Quinn tells me otherwise though. I let him have his way.
Cold chillin’,
Cooper

Hint: you might want to pick it up a notch on the social skills, or you might find the ladies continuing to flock my way! Just bein’ a brother here… time to kick it into high gear, buddy.
