January 2007

Our routine these days is solid! The only part our parents don’t love is the waking at 5 am. Our parents tell us we should talk to other kids about wake time, but since we are still quarantined from other kids (until Spring), we can’t! So, to pay them back for not allowing us to play with other kids, we’re just gonna keep waking them up before sunrise. :) Good news for mom is that dad is an early bird.

Sanja (our fab nanny) gets to our house at 7:30 and has us all day until dad relieves her at 5:30. We hop in the car to get mom at the train at 6 and the picture above is basically what we do when we get home. We double team mom for about 20 minutes before we hop in the bath (dad gets his double teaming time in the morning), then off to bed at 7/7:30. And 10 hours of good solid sleep before we call out for the next day to begin.

I take a different approach to playground flirting. I actually go for the “good” kids.

Mom’s been in Singapore and Hong Kong this week for work (and a little fun), but she’s coming back tomorrow (picture above is from The Peak in Hong Kong). It’s by far the most time we’ve been away from her and we are sure giving dad a run for his money. It’s really fun to gang up on our parents when they are flying solo. Thank goodness for webcams and Yahoo! Messenger!

Counting down the hours,

P.S. Mom would like to give a shout out to her new buddies – one team! one team!

Mom and Dad just thought these pictures were funny – totally shows our personalities.

Well… not really, but don’t we look Just-So-Connecticut?!

In case there was any question as to whether or not we would make it up to see the ball dropping at the strike of New Years, I propped my head up during our evening bottle to make perfectly clear at 7:10 that it was time for me to go nite-nite. Coop was right behind me and we rang in the New Year inbetween snores – what a rager.

Bring on 2007!

Nothing like “feeding time” for two 20-month old rascals. Yummy!

Its seems appropriate to say here how we love nothing more in life than throwing food. Mom and dad yap about how they work hard to put food on the table and all we want to do is see who can fling it the furthest (I’ve got mad distance, but Cooper’s precision is out of this world). Mom particularly hates it when she’s a couple feet away preparing the next “dish” and we look right at her and drop food into Bernie’s salivating mouth. Yeah, that makes her really mad.

So, food time is SUPER fun for us right now, but not so much for our parents.

Flingin’ free,
Quinn
