Mom and dad taught us what Thanksgiving Day is all about, and honestly, we don’t even know where to begin to give thanks. First, it probably makes sense to give thanks to mom and dad for making us (ok, and to our grandparents for making them! And to their…). From there, here are just a FEW of the things we are thankful for:

* The unbelievably kind, thoughtful and smart (did we mention smart?) people who took care of us during our down-and-out days, particularly Dr. McMahan and our friends in the NICU and PICU. Without you, we wouldn’t be here.
* For Turkey. Goodness gracious. After tasting REAL turkey today, we were actually a little mad at mom for pulling over the deli mesquite turkey on us for so long. Now we’re never going back.
* For Family (which, in our definition, includes our friends). We had a house full of people today to play with us and gave us ALL the attention. Good times. Speaking of family, we are STOKED that uncle dustin and aunt kim are coming in 2 weeks!
* For Playgrounds. Even though they are off limits for a while, we are still glad we have them. And we are grateful for the play structure that grammy got us (see picture) to use on our deck in the meantime!
* For Sanja (and of course Mia!). We are so grateful that Sanja is in our lives and taking such good care of us while mom and dad are at work. And of course to Mia, the best Mrs. Doubtfire in the world!
* For Cool Kicks. Dad is obsessed with buying us shoes (usually ones that are too big), and we think we are hot stuff in them. Keep ‘em comin, dad!
* and most importantly, FOR OUR HEALTH. We are all healthy (for the moment) and intend to stay that way.

Happy Thanksgiving! Our parents now say it’s crunch time for figuring out a Christmas Card (not sure why a Christmas card is that big of a deal, but they keep saying something about not being able to outdo last year’s card…)

Turkey 1 (Quinn – right above) & Turkey 2 (Cooper)

Cooper's First Haircut.jpg

I had my first haircut on Saturday… and my second one on Sunday. There’s a reason for this – let me explain. Bascially, it’s because of my mom’s love for my curls. For some reason, I have curly hair – only in the back. So, as I was getting my first haircut, mom begged the person (reason for vague pronoun below) to leave the curls. When I woke up the next morning, the curls were flattened by my sleep and we all realized that I had a little business-in-the-front-party-in-the-back going on. Yes, I had a limply curled mullet. After a few good laughs at my expense, mom and dad took me to dad’s barber to “trim the tail.” And off it went.

Tail-less,

Cooper

P.S. Doesn’t everyone get their first haircut from a 6’2” transvestite?

We’ve got a new baby in the hizzie. It’s called FlyingPeas. In all mom’s spare time(!), she decided to start this online baby boutique selling some of our favorite products. Granted, there are a couple of items that we’ve never had the pleasure of owning ourselves ($$$), but many that I can attest are the bomb.

This is something mom has been working on each and every night after Cooper and I go to bed and at naptime on the weekends since APRIL. I don’t know about this woman. In my spare time, I like to go to playgrounds and eat.

So, shop away friends. Maybe this site can pay for our college education. I think it’s estimated to be about $150K per year by 2023, so pony up! …Oh, and I probably should mention that we’d like to go to a cool school, not Nebraska or Ohio U. like some old geezers we know…

Thanks for your support,

Q-Dog

(added later: mom got her 15 minutes of fame here)
