smooth walker

They day has come, friends. I’m taking steps without diving onto my subject. My parents have finally agreed to count my attempt as “true steps…” Tough crowd.
Thought I’d take this opportunity to tell you about a couple other milestones in our lives.
* We both wave, but Quinn just HAD to one-up me and say “hi” while waving last Thursday. So, while we both blabber “mamamama” and “dadadada,” we think “hi” might be Quinn’s first word. I’m still deciding which word I’m going to choose first. Maybe I’ll choose “mom” or “dad” to get on their good side. Always thinking, folks.
* We’re eating loads of new stuff. While Quinn prefers to be lazy bones and be fed, I am excelling at feeding myself. As you know by now, we refuse to be alike in any way, so this is fitting. My favs are blueberries and cheerios and Quinn enjoys peas and corn most.
* As this post indicates, I am taking steps and standing very firmly. Quinn is a total champ at walking and darn near running. (poor, poor parents!)
* We completed our first swim lesson at the YMCA. While we didn’t enjoy the dunking much, our parents did. We warmed up to swimming and are now big fans – and neither of us has had an “accident” in the pool yet. There’s still PLENTY of time.
* We simply refuse to drink milk out of anything other than a bottle – and mom hasn’t had the courage to take it away from us yet. She continues to threaten though…
* The developmental specialist was here last week and said we rock. We are right on track with all developmental milestones so far, so we had a nice dinner of meat lasagna (Quinn’s favorite) to celebrate. Yipee for us!
I think that’s enough for now, folks. Thanks for checking in.
