Quinn is such a race-to-the-finish-line type of guy. First to leave the hospital, first to crawl, first to walk, and now first to get a haircut. Well, you know what people – I don’t care! I’m going to take my sweet, zen time and do things at my own pace. You watch me.
Shaggy-headed and loving it,
Coop-de-loop
P.S. Peace.

Saturday was a big day – my first haircut. Strangely, dad cried the entire time saying, “don’t do it, son” and franticly scrambled around on the floor picking up my hair and putting it on his head. He was mumbling something about hair falling out and that this was a travesty. It was really weird. Anyhow – I was a total champ. No crying or fussing whatsoever. Do my parents have any idea how lucky they are?

Mom was looking through pictures of us on the beach and realized that I had this same pursed-lip look on my face from the second I got on the beach until I was fully showered. I couldn’t help it – it’s such an unsettling feeling to have gritty stuff sticking all over your body… like hours and hours of exfoliation. I thought my skin was soft enough, but clearly I need this treatment if my parents put me through it for hours each day.
Sand-free in San Francisco,

Howdy partners,
I just thought I looked cute in this picture and wanted to share with my fans.
Later days, ladies.

We hate the beach.
Dad says “hate” is a strong word, but we really don’t prefer it. Even though we responded better and better to the wacky sand with each day while on vacation in South Carolina, we prefer to hang in the cool air-conditioned house while in the Southeast in the middle of summer (being in that hot weather made us have a whole new appreciation for San Francisco weather!).
The best part of our vacation was meeting more of our extended family. My dad’s side of the family has a reunion on Isle of Palms (outside of Charleston) every year, and boy are the cool! We were absolutely spoiled rotten by these wonderful people and got some great quality time with our parents.
Now, let’s talk about the worst part of the vacation… mom says we should forget it ever happened and never mention again in her presence, so we’ll just post about it here (shhhhh). On the way out, we had a layover in Washington Dulles. Since we were complete nightmares on the 5 hour flight, our parents decided to throw their germ-issues out the window and let us crawl all over the disgusting airport floor to wear us out (ok, ok, they followed us with Wipe-its, but it still was disgusting). At last call for boarding, we loaded up to board the plane and were told that the plane was full, despite our boarding passes with seat assignments. Turns out the flight was oversold, and WE (yes, 1 year old twin BOYS) got the shaft! After a mild heart attack (and 2 free tickets), mom and dad were told we needed to chill at the airport for 6 MORE HOURS, which got us in to Charleston airport at 1 am. The good news is that mom packed enough food and diapers to survive the madness – and we had a FANTASTIC time on our very first Family Vacation.
We’ll close by giving a shout out to the Shermans, Carmichaels, Cloustons and all the dope people we met this week! Thanks for the fun, yo!
Peace out,
C&Q
