At 10 months old, Cooper and I are co-CEO’s of the Be Drug Free club now that we are totally off all medication for the first time in our little lives. No more Zantac, Reglan, antibiotics – NOTHING! That’s not to say that we won’t need medication in the future, but we are pretty psyched about being drug free now!
Clean as a whistle,

Dad’s cool factor went way up this weekend.
Our parents went away together for the first time since we were born. And where did they choose to go for a romantic weekend getaway in the middle of February, you ask? Nebraska. Turns out, Dad was a basketball stud at University of Nebraska. The school put on a reunion for the 1990-91 team since they were the “winning-est” team in Husker history. Mom was showing us pictures from the weekend, and when we saw shots of Dad signing autographs, his cool factor went waaaay up.

As many of you know, this was a big day for us. The Whitney Clinic is like the Super Bowl for preemies and we ruled the house. We met with a neurologist, developmental specialist and a couple nurses to evaluate our “performance” to date, and they couldn’t stop talking about how great, cool, charming and good looking we are. Ok, ok… mom says I need to stop bragging, but it was a pretty cool feeling to get to show off for these people and have them appreciate the complexity of every little thing we do as babies (we really are a complex species).
The best part was when the neuroligist measured my head and immediately asked dad to take his hat off. After measuring dad, it was confirmed that the “macrocephaly” (AKA Big Head) that Quinn and I have is familial… and in this case, very much on the paternal side.
So, other than a couple cases of “the big head,” Quinn and I have been diagnosed as PERFECT. We’ll continue to work with mom and dad on our exercises to make sure we stay on track, but we’re feeling pretty darn good about right now.

You’ve gotta be less than 1 year old or older than 70 to pull this look off. Mom came home and cracked up when she saw us dressed like this (by the nanny). And she thought the funniest part was that we were going about our day like nothing was strange with our attire…
We’ve been asked to report on our lives, so here goes:
* Cooper’s smile has turned into a giggle that won’t quit.
* Quinn has an intensity about him that is already making the girls swoon.
* Cooper has two teeth and Quinn has teeth-envy (and drooling like mad).
* We’re eating just about every kind of vegetable under the sun, and we loooove it.
* We are starting to sit, but will spontaneously arch our backs which sometimes results in Fred Flintstone-like bumps on our heads (not to mention flying tears).
* We’ve mastered the roll-to-what-you-want, and are determined to reprogram the TV, DVD player and tivo to only play shows with bright colors.
* We’ve decided after 9 months to allow our parents to put us on a great nighttime routine… going to bed at 6:30 and waking up at 5:30 seems to make for smiles all around (parents and Bernie included).
* Bernie is beginning to let us ride him.
* We’re rolling at about 22+ lbs each, which has managed to send both of our parents to the chiropractor for adjustments (wimps).
That’s it from our pad. Thanks for checkin in.
