our due date

Mom and dad tell us we weren’t due until today. What can we day, we wanted to meet the world sooner than it wanted to meet us. We keep telling our parents that they got the bonus round – they got to see a lot of development that most parents don’t get to see. For example, we weren’t born with nipples. That’s right. No nipples. When we had blankets over us and our heads were to the side, mom and dad couldn’t tell if we were on our backs or our stomachs. We are happy to report that they started to grow in (slowly) about 6 weeks ago and are in full effect now. So, now you get our point. Most parents don’t get to see their kids nipple-less, so mom and dad should consider themselves lucky.
A few people have asked what should be expected of us developmentally… well, it all starts from today. So, while a lot of babies crawl around the 6 month mark, we should be expected to crawl around 9 months. The doctors say to just add about 3 months to every expected milestone. We say we should add 6 months so we can crush expectations, but mom says that’s called “sand bagging.”
So, Happy “other” Birthday to us! We’ll expect two birthday parties from here on out.
Peace out,
Cooper and Quinn
